  • Brian Rizo - Orlando Club Director

    Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

    Experience:
    Brian Rizo was born and raised New York City where he played basketball up until completing High School. He then attended the University of Central Florida where he served as both a women’s basketball scout team player and men’s basketball team manager. He went on to pursue his master’s degree at Michigan State University. While completing his degree, he worked as a Graduate teaching assistant as he interned with the men’s basketball team. He later became the assistant video coordinator for the women’s basketball team at MSU. Upon graduating, he returned to Orlando, Florida where he’s served as an Assistant Varsity coach at Dr. Phillips High School and Montverde Academy. He has coached players of all ages and abilities including several that have gone on to play professionally overseas, WNBA, and NBA. He currently holds an Advanced Scouting position with the Atlanta Hawks.

    Personal Fact:
    Basketball is my passion. I am a highly motivated and fundamental sports leader with experiences as a player, teacher, coach and administrator. I am very excited to be able to impact my community by inspiring athletes to pursue Christ through basketball. I will challenge them to grow in life, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
